It was the later converted into a conserved area to protect its declining population of lions. This National Park is a paradise for all bird lovers as it is packed with several endangered species such as Bonelli’s eagle, sarus crane, white-backed and long-billed vultures.Visit the Kankai Mata Temple which is set amid the Gir National Park. It is a shrine dedicated to the Kankai Mata who is a goddess worshipped by numerous castes in India. This popular temple is a must visit because of its holy disposition and wild setting. One can hear the roar of the lions wandering in the forest when inside the temple and also the calls of other animals.

 

3.Kaziranga National Park: Sibsagar, also known as Rangpura is a little town located at a distance of 360 kilometres northeast to Guwahati. The Kaziranga National park is a place that is famous for its monuments. Talatal Ghar is considered to be one of the most famous attractions of Sibasagar and is located at a distance of about 176 kilometres from the Kaziranga National Park.Also visit the Joysagar Tank and few other temples situated on the banks of the river namely, Jeydol, Shiv temple, located in the Rangapur regions which were completed in just 45 days.

 

4.Ranthambore National Park: Ranthambore National Park is counted amongst the best national parks in India and what makes it a leading wildlife reserve is its setting, flora and the royal ruins of the majestic fort.Ranthambore Fort is the truest landmark of Ranthambore National Park which is located at a mere distance of about 5 kilometers within the confines of the wildlife reserve. Ranthambore Fort is one of the wonders of the Chauhan dynasty.Yet another powerful attraction of the Ranthambore National Park is the Trinetra Ganesh Temple. Trinetra which means three-eyed Ganesh or Pratham Ganesh temple is one amongst the oldest temples of Rajasthan. 

 

5.Kanha National Park: Kanha National Park was established in the year 1955. It spreads its lush greenery over an area of about 940 square kilometers. Parishioners from all over the globe wish to come here to pay their respects at the Kachnar Temple and another temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini Temple which is one of the oldest heritage sites in India and was carved on a hilltop in the 10th century. Another one is the Gwarighat Gurudwara which is a beautiful Gurudwara on the south bank of the river. Amarkantak, famously known as the Teerthraj is a religious land which has an immensely rich variety of medicinal plants.
