In the morning, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff representative who will pick you up from your Kolkata railway or airport as per your ease and drive you straight to Gathkhali jetty which is at a distance of about 125 kilometers. On your way, you will come across some beautiful countryside's, rural bazaar along with stopovers at local tea shops and fishermen's' villages. On arriving at Gathkhali, we will transport you and your belongings to our motorized boat. From then on, our local guide cum naturalist will brief you about the rest of the day tour over tea, coffee or welcome drink followed by two hours of spectacular journey through the rivers Hogol, Gomor, Durgaduani and Gumdi.You can even stop by at Gosaba which is believed to be one of the earliest human settlements of Sunderbans to visit the house of Sir Danniel Hamilton, a Scottish banker who initiated the first co-operative movement of India here.
On finally arriving, you may check in securely at your Jungle resort and relish in hot lunch followed by three hours of birding and a game cruise to Sudhanyakhali watch tower via canals and creeks. In the evening, return back to your Jungle resort to have dinner followed by an overnight stay at the resort.
Wake up to a beautiful morning and a scrumptious breakfast and leave for a full day game cruise and birding tour to the Netidhopani watch tower provided the weather conditions are appropriate.You will be served lunch on board. Later in the evening, return back to your jungle resort to discover the local rural theatre which is known as the Bonobibi Yatra and is performed vigorously by the villagers over there.The theatre depicts a very interesting story about the Forest God and Goddess, Tiger Lord, fishermen and honey collectors with which is combined with numerous dances and songs. Later, enjoy a scrumptious dinner at the hotel followed by an overnight stay.
After sipping on the hot morning tea followed by a scrumptious breakfast meal, head for a guided village walk wherein the participants are encouraged to have a close interaction with the local villagers in order to get an insight about their livelihood and daily lifestyle. Afterward, we will proceed for a guided adventure journey via a manually-oared country boat followed by a short travel to DoBanki watch tower to delight in a small canopy walk. In the afternoon, you may return back to your jungle resort to have lunch and subsequently proceed to Gathkhali. On arriving at Gathkhali, our staff representative will transfer you back to Kolkata via a private car.
