Pykara Lake Wildlife

Pykara is a well- acknowledged destination situated at a distance of 21 kilometers from Ooty on the Ooty-Mysore road which is a scenic hill station located in the Western Ghats at a height of 2240 meters.Pykara is actually considered to be one of the most visited hill stations of India and also Ooty is very well connected to all the major places of the country and the world. Pykara Lake has become a famous getaway from Ooty. It is basically a placid lake situated in the midst of the lush green valleys of Ooty. The major tourist attraction spot in Ooty is the Pykara waterfall. It is located nearly an hour from Ooty.To reach this spot, one is required to take a trek for about 7 to 10 minutes although for elders and children, there is one electric car facility available. This is actually a great place to visit during the winter season.
