Chokhi Dhani restaurant which is located at Sawai Madhopur is an ideal place to spend some precious time with your family and loved ones over a scrumptious meal. Sawai Madhopur was founded by and named after Sawai Madho Singh I in the year 1763 and the existing population of the city is about 125,000 people.

This place is most often used by visitors as a place to stay while visiting Ranthambore which is at a distance of about 11 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur.

You can rejuvenate and loosen up at this very well famed restaurant and culturally-rich place after having spent a busy day filled with adventure. Delight in the traditional food and enjoy the fine tasting food at this restaurant.

It is very exciting to see the staff bring heavy brass plates and pitchers and place them on your table. You will definitely enjoy eating at the Chokhi Dhani restaurant on these utensils like a royal.

You will find some of the most exquisite Indian food on the menu list, with the Rajasthani Thali being the major highlight of the entire meal.

Chokhi Dhani Restaurant is actually the only place in Ranthambhore to taste the most traditional and authentic Indian and South Indian food. This place is placed opposite to the Fateh Public School on the Ranthambhore Road.

This restaurant is mostly famous for daal baht which is basically a traditional Nepali or Indian food comprising of lentil soup (dal) served with rice (bhat), which the Tibetans began to cook after we came into exile.

Conventionally, Tibetans in Tibet do not cook dal but it is a very common dish of Tibetans who live outside our country, especially those who live in India and Nepal. Dal  bhat is a very nutritious and healthy meal that is also very fast and easy to cook and loved by a lot of vegetarian people.

There are all kinds of lentils used in cooking dal bhat but most people prefer using the red lentils which are called masoor dal, because they cook fast. Also, there are black and green lentils that taste great but that take much longer to cook. Another famous item which is the lentil soup is often called the masala dal or dal masala.

Chokhi Dhani Restaurant is one of the major tourist attractions of Ranthambore. It is a Rajasthani ethnic village themed restaurant which serves typical and authentic Rajasthani dinner.

While Ranthambore will provide you and your little ones an opportunity to view tigers and other various wild species in their natural habitats, Chokhi Dhani will give you and your family a taste of the exquisite Rajasthani culture.

Packed with immense life and only one of its kind cultural experiences, Chokhi Dhani, means ‘special village,’ which is similar to a mock Rajasthani village, filled with open-air restaurants that are equipped with a variety of traditional Rajasthani cuisine. The thrilling experiences, warm people, vivid city and the luscious food will definitely make your vacation an unforgettable experience.
